HistoryEdit
The Monocled Monster was a vampire who found Shield's sidekick, Dusty, a worthy recruit for his "Legion of Vampires." When the Monocled Monster went after Dusty and Mamie Mazda, Shield and his friend, Ju Ju Watson, chased the monster into a graveyard and drove a stake through his heart.

- Vampirism: in addition to the various mental and physical benefits that vampires are heir to, he also possessed the ability to turn others into vampires as well.
- Transformation: he was able to transform into a bat. Thus, he also benefited from that animal's attributes including: razor-sharp claws, fangs and the ability to fly.
